FUN FACT
On February 15, 1903, toy store owner and inventor placed two stuffed bears in his shop window, advertising them as Teddy bears.  President Theodore Roosevelt had given permission for the use of his nickname, Teddy.  Before long, other toy manufacturers began making stuffed bears, and they soon became a national childhood institution.
